Autorrelatos, 2021

A shared experience that we girls of yesterday and today live.

Series of 5 paintings from archives on light boxes and text by incision.

For this project, I decided to open a dialogue with other women, using public space, to discuss street harassment. To do this, I used strategies such as collecting information through surveys conducted on Instagram stories, my childhood photographic archive, advocacy, painting, and the resulting testimonies of other women about their first memories of street harassment.

The material and conceptual exploration carried out during this project has allowed me to approach this topic from a more personal as well as collective perspective. Virtual space and social networks can be used to start dialogues on sensitive topics, as long as it is done in a responsible, ethical and respectful manner.
